hey there! interested in making your own Lumicress? a Lumicress is one of the main species that inhabit Ling! a baby Lumicress is called a Cressling,
great! now we can get started on the anatomy.
Cressling anatomy is pretty easy to get used to.
make sure not to draw your Cressling too big, they DID just hatch after all. they are very active and can walk right out of the egg, but they still have a long way to go!
Please remember to keep your Cresslings head and tail feathers very short, just like a real bird, they wouldn't have full grown feathers right away.
Cresslings body's look kind of like a dress, or a poncho. The size and length of these can fluctuate a little, just don't do anything too crazy,
they also have large legs with 3 small claws at the bottom, they need some way to stay balanced after all!
and don't forget to add their jagged mouth shape! (minimum of 3 mouth edges with no teeth, please)
ok here's where it gets a bit confusing, lumicress have different types of pupils that connect with their personality! they don't have to be exactly the way their eye shape matches up to all the time! but it does have to be the base for how your lumicress acts!
TEARDROP PUPILS:
these Lumicress are normally more reserved and quiet than normal, they are introverted and prefer being alone to making friends, they are very sensitive and are known to burst out in tears often.
HEART PUPILS:
these Lumicress are known to be very flirty and charismatic they are normally more popular than Lumicress with other pupil types, they give off an air that makes others feel more protective of them, they also get jealous very easily.
SPADE/UPSIDEDOWN HEART PUPILS:
these Lumicress are pretty much the opposite of Lumicress with heart pupils, they are quite awkward in most situations and get flustered easily. They normally don't have many Friends, and prefer to be alone than with others.
CRESCENT MOON PUPILS:
These Lumicress are known to be dark and mysterious, they are quiet to the point that they might never talk at all, Lumicress with this eye type have a reputation for being wise and cunning and know how to manipulate others to get what they want.
CROSS PUPILS:
Lumicress with these types of eyes are loud and extroverted, they seem to enjoy the discomfort and pain of themselves and others and are really just known to be huge assholes, they are extremely stubborn and will not take no for an answer.
STAR PUPILS:
Lumicress with star pupils seem to always have a smile on their face, they love making friends and being around others. They are very creative and have a child-like innocence about them that makes them seem more friendly and exited to other lumicress,
eye colour can be whatever you want! '0'
now that you're done with that we can get into colours!
first off, you can choose any colour that you want for the base of your Cressling! well, almost. just make sure that whatever colour you choose you dull down a bit, for example, if you chose purple for your base colour then you would just have to bring down the exposure until its more grey looking! blacks and whites can be especially tricky, make sure you use an 'off colour' of these if you decide to use one of them
great now that you've done that we can look at the secondary colours! this one isn't that difficult, just pick out a max of 3 colours, you have to choose colours that are close to the original, for example, if you chose blue as the main colour you could use a different shade of blue, if you chose an aqua colour you could use blue or green as a secondary colour. Just slightly, add a tint to whatever you chose. I know that it seems like it looks bland but I promise that they can be more colourful soon~
here are some ideas of placements you can use, any spots you use have to be bigger than your cresslings eye and don't use any complex patterns. a mod will tell you if your drawing has to be edited
finishing touches
the colour of your cresslings eye is also the same as there tongue and blood colour (just in case you wanted to know)
now your cressling is complete!
just put them on this application and add the following description!

Species: What is your critter? are they an Arakin or Lumicress?
Creation: If you designed your lumicress by yourself it would be called a "MYO"(Make your own), you have two free MYOs of each species so four in total.

Personality: What is your critter like? You can make their personality as detailed or simple as you want, they are your character afterall!
Now for your new cressling to explore the world Craven you'll need to get them approved! Don't worry, it's easy! All you have to do is submit your new kiddo to 'cressling Approvals' where a mod will help you with anything that needs to be fixed! And wit, that you're ready to explore the wonderful world of Craven!
